This year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) is happening in Barcelona and with just a few days to go, we almost know exactly what to expect. MWC 2016 will set the trends for the mobile phone industry for the rest of the year.
MWC 2016 is going to raise the bar high for all smartphone brands internationally. New arrivals have been leaked all over social media platforms around Samsung, Sony , LG, Huawei and Xiaomi innovations.
So what can we expect over this week…
- From Samsung, according to a number of international leaks and rumours, we predict a new flagship update for the year of 2016. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be unveiled over this coming weekend.
- Sony’s line of Xperia C series has also been predicted to see a new handset rolling out. The Sony Xperia C6 is to be released at the MWC 2016 event.
- The LG G4 was quite a success and apart from the lack of the aluminum build design, the new refreshed LG G5 will be just that and a new fresh design can be expected as well. That’s not all LG has in the pipeline for MWC 2016, its new announcement says that a LG Stylus 2 handset will be unveiled this February.
- Huawei is said to unveil a new Huawei Stylus tablet or “Matebook” it seems. There are also rumours that the Huawei P9 will be released, or at least mentioned that is.
- Xioami, one of my favourite and most exciting Asian brands are announcing their new competitive flagship, the Mi 5. For those who don’t know the Xioami brand or “Mi” as they say have entered the South African Market. Click here for Xioami Online SA store and information.
