Samsung has hosted their second Galaxy unpacked event of 2021, during the month of March. Introducing their new A midrange line-up. Three new devices were announced, they are the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G and A72.
Samsung’s intention of the device was driven by creating a new powerful innovation with the intention of making everyday life extremely accessible. With new and more exciting features this A series introduces you to a world of communication and tons of fun!

The device has been designed to create images and videos that are exciting and enables a clear viewing experience. This device promises a versatile experience. The A52 and A52 G’s cameras are similar and there are not much differences between the two qualities, compared to Galaxy A72 which has a digital zoom which can go up to 30X compared to the A52 has a zoom which could be captured up to 10X, and the A72 has an optical zoom of 3X. It even has Night mode which makes use of multi-frame processing, resulting in a bright and crisp image even in the dark.
The awesome built in display between the these A series handhelds has been designed with 6.5” and 6.7” screens with respective AMOLED panels. Allowing you to scroll and make use of your social media even when outside thanks to an increased 800nits luminance. Leaving room for a pretty solid display at the touch of your fingers, especially when you are on the go.
The best part of this device is the long lasting battery life which Samsung has made the focal point of this A series. Life is fast and a device is always needed when on the go, allowing a battery life which can last up to TWO days! The two day existing battery has been built with 4,500mAh for the A52’s and 5,000mAh built in A72’s.
Always struggling with space? This should be a problem best avoided with the Samsung A series. By means of always introducing new ways to improve and promise a good mobile experience in order to increase and encourage enough sustainability. The Galaxy A52 and A72 uses pulp mould and paper to minimise unused space and material use for the packaging.
The new Galaxy A Series will be available in Awesome Black and Awesome Violet for the Galaxy A72 and in Awesome Black and Awesome Blue or the Galaxy A52. Samsung has made it easier to trade in your existing device.
This device is available for trade-in your old Galaxy A31 smartphone, at a retail cost of R1 720, or if you are interested in trading your Galaxy A30s smartphone, the retail price goes for R1 450. Making life simple, with Samsung! Samsung has also made provision for secure peace of mind with a protection plan that is made available with Samsung Care + for a once-off of price of R99 for 12 months worth of protection against accidental damage.
