Galaxy S21 is built for expression. Galaxy S21 was designed for those who want a light design and compact 6.2-inch display, Galaxy S21+ sports an expanded 6.7-inch display and a larger battery, perfect for marathon gamers and binge-watchers, this is a simple explanation which makes it easier to decipher which device the required user would be interested in. Samsung launched its new Galaxy S21 range of smartphones at its Unpacked 2021 event on Thursday 14 January.
With adaptation of the way we have become conditioned to live, Samsung has introduced Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+, allowing you the liberty to imitate yourself. Justin Hume, Director: Integrated Mobility at Samsung South Africa said, “We are living in a mobile-first world, and with so many of us working remotely and spending more time at home, we wanted to deliver a smartphone experience that meets the rigorous multimedia demands of our continuously changing routines.“
Similar to previous-generation Galaxy S20 devices, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will offer 5G connectivity in addition to high refresh-rate OLED displays. The S21 Ultra however, boasts support for Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, which Samsung states is around two-times faster than standard Wi-Fi 6.

These device is driven and powered by the Samsung Exynos 2100 chipset or Snapdragon 888 depending on region, which is far more power-efficient than previous-generation chips. Samsung has decided to exclude the Apple trend and has decided to omit charging adapters and headphones from the packaging of its new smartphones, which would be a relief to most.
Introducing a new approach of revolutionary designs the S21 and S21+ will be available in a range of eye-catching colours, including a new signature colour: Galaxy S21 – Phantom Violet, Phantom Grey, Phantom White, Phantom Pink, Galaxy S21+ – Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, Phantom Violet, Galaxy S21 Ultra – Phantom Silver, Phantom Black.

The device has been designed with the toughest Gorilla Glass yet! It is has been designed to scratch less and protect both front and back, leaving this to be the toughest Gorrilla Glass designed for a smartphone. The back of the S21 is plastic and the S21+ and Ultra is designed and made for a glassy finish.
Samsung has made the device quite efficient to use and has a pro guide camera for users with any skill, at any comfortable level which they are at with the device, thus allowing room for growth and much fun when playing around with. The camera system intuitively assesses and adjusts to your scene to ensure you can perfectly capture any environment.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 smartphones have a triple-lens rear camera which also supports 8K video recording, as well as a single front-facing camera. embedded in a punch-hole cut-out in the display.
This device is already available for pre-order and is set to launch on 29 January at the following retail prices, Galaxy S21 – R17,999, Galaxy S21+ – R21,499, Galaxy S21 Ultra– R27,999. These new devices has been announced to have been cheaper or more affordable than last year’s 20 series, which is another bonus.
Samsung all round has simply outdone themselves and under the circumstances we have adapted to live in, having a device which you get to play around and keep yourself busy with at an affordable price, with extraordinary features makes this one a good one!
