A year after it’s birth into the South African market and Vivo has released another great affordable smartphone. The new Vivo Y1S comes with a host of attractive features that deems it a force to be reckoned with in the affordable smartphone bracket. This cost-efficient smartphone is equipped with a long-lasting battery and a smart power management system that enables the phone to last a lot longer. The Y1S is always camera-ready with a selfie sensor coupled with a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash.
Top this off with the fact that the Y1S will only cost R199 p/m over 2 years and is now also available through the MTN network, there are just too many reasons why this phone is a great asset for anything looking for a reliable smartphone without breaking the bank.
Vivo has been around for more than 10 years but has only recently arrived on South African shores. It received a warm welcome when it released the Y11 with one review stating, “In the hand, it feels sturdy and more premium than its price would suggest, something we seem to say often about vivo phones.”
The other Vivo smartphone, the Y11, will also be available through the MTN network after its release a little less than a year ago. Since its arrival, it has successfully provided South Africans with an economic alternative in the smartphone spectrum. The Y11 costs R249 p/m for over 2 years.
According to Vivo mobile SA Marketing Director, Hawa Hyath-Saloojee, the Y series of Vivo mobile aims to meet the growing demands of the South African market in their need for an easily accessible smartphone device.
