The Huawei P40 series is officially on sale in South Africa and is on promotion if you are interested in purchasing either the P40, P40 Pro or P40 lite. This year’s new Huawei P40 flagship phones pack a whopping 50MP main camera and a dual-camera set up with both models having the Selfie 32MP lens. Each device comes with Huawei’s own Freebud Bluetooth Earphones which are worth about R2500.00 (ZAR).
The Huawei P40 is a available on a x24 month contract for R799.00 (ZAR) and the P40 Lite at R379.00 on a x24 month contract. There are a few differences between the Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro which make a clear cut difference in the name.
The P40 Pro has the quad camera set up on the back, where as the base model P40 has only 3 cameras (still more than super capable of great photos). More significant important hardware differences are that the P40 Pro is IP68 dust/water, it has a 6.8 inch screen with an almost edge-less display and has wireless and reverse charging. Both phones are available for purchase from the Huawei online store.

The Huawei P40 base model has a screen size of 6.1 inches, has IP53 dust and splash protection and has no wireless charging (not cool from my side). Both phones have an In-display fingerprint sensor however and face unlock which to my experience works well with Huawei phones.

I will be reviewing the Huawei P40 base model and show you what there is to know before buying this phone. (unboxing and review to come).
Huawei Launched the #HuaweP40Series with an awesome online luanch which included top South African celebrities. Have a read here for more on the #HuaweiZA P40 launch.
