If you have an apple watch or felt that a smart watch is of no use because it is cannot be used as a phone, then the new Apple watch cellular editions are for you. the iStore South Africa has launched the Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 5 Cellular editions. The Series 3 edition is not as emphasized in marketing campaigns of course because the watch is from the older design and model, however the watch functionality still remains highly competitive and feature packed.
The Apple Watch Series 5 Cellular begins at R12,499.00 for the 40mm size watch face at the iStore and is now available on pre-order. The Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular however is R7,499.00 at the iStore and is also available on pre-order.
The newer Series 5 has a better display, more memory for your media and faster internals as the “older” Series 3 of course. Both watches are not very affordable in the current South African economy (#COVID19)and I am not too sure that the prices will be appealing to many apple users. However, as an Apple watch user myself, I can appreciate all of the current features and uses of the Apple watch and am sure that the functionality of cellular will make this already nifty gadget, super useful and cut my phone screen time down by a big notch.
Still, if you are in the market for a smartwatch, the Apple watch is a great gadget that is not only useful, but a great looking accessory with cellular or without.
