Apple just announced their latest iPhone SE 2nd generation for $399 (USD) and there’s so much excitement around this phone for so many of the right reasons. As Apple iPhones have been launching their yearly phones each year, the price bump has become a huge deciding factor for most Apple consumers to upgrade. The new iPhone SE is everything that the Apple consumer is looking for in 2020 at a great price.

There are a few things that most people consider when buying  a phone and those are usually, decent battery life, phone speed and the most used feature on a smartphone, the camera. So let’s get the iPhone SE’s main specs out of the way…

  • A13 Chip – same processing power as the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro
  • 4.7″ Display – iPhone 8 body
  • 12 mgpxl Wide Camera – same rear camera as the iPhone XR

This iPhone is for those Android users wanting to switch to iPhone but was skeptical about the higher price and having an outdated model with an older camera and limited functionality.

Looking at the new iPhone SE, you’re getting all the goodies of Apple’s latest iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro in an iPhone 8’s body. What we would have to say is exciting is that camera, Apple boasts about the 12 megapixel wide lens but with the A13 bionic chip, the HDR image processing of the camera should compare to it’s flagship iPhone 11 Pro.

Portrait mode for both rear and selfie camera is available on the new iPhone SE in a compact and best of all affordable package. While the global economy is at a crisis, Apple does not shy away from the opportunity to provide a new iPhone at the right price.

Local South African pricing has not been released yet but the iPhone SE has shown up on the IstoreZA’s Instagram posts and on the Myistore.co.za website. The new iPhone is available three minimal colours, Black, White and Red. If the iPhone SE can prove everything Apple brags about, then they have definitely nailed dynamite in this not so small package.
