So just under a year ago, Huawei treated the world with amazing photography technology – introducing the dual lens cameras to the mobile phone industry. The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus was a major success in 2016 and this has motivated the company by pulling out a P10 and P10 Plus with even more colour!

Still sticking to the collaboration with Leica cameras, the P10 series new design is once again related to the Huawei P series but the distinct design changes such as rounder edges, the new placed fingerprint sensor and shifting of the antenna lines are quite attractive. The P9 and P9 Plus’s rear camera was so impressive – Huawei decided to double up the deal by using Leica’s technology in the Selfie lens of the P10 and P10 plus.

The main differences between the base models as we know is the size. The P10 comes with a modest 5.1″ screen and the the Plus model coming with a 5.5″ display.
Talking performance – the P10 and P10 Plus are both going to deliver great battery life but also because the P10 has 4GB RAM and the Plus having a whopping 6GB RAm.
Both flagship devices run on the latest Android OS, v7.0 (Nougat) with the company’s famous EMUI on top of it. The P10 is expected to be priced at around €649 (approx. R8500,00ZAR) and the P10 Plus for €699 (approx. R9600,00ZAR).
It will be available in March 2017 and South Africa is listed as one of the initial releasing countries – but let’s not get too hopeful on pricing comparisons. The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus’s refreshed design and faster performance is definitely going to make 2017 yet another successful year for the Chinese innovators.
